1-2 days/on foot/Sea & Water activities/traditional market

chilling, calm and less tourist festival from June to AugustI would strongly recommended this city because its a lot . For non-peak seasons, people here are friendly and willing to help (They won't ask for tips when they help you) Taxi drivers used to rush and be rude when they are driving in big city, but they were nice and respectful here. It is famous for surfing and doing different sea sport activities. . It could be crowded when you come for

Essaouira is a small city, take 2 hours drive from Marrakesh. It's less tourists and much relaxed city. You don't have to worry much about this being stolen or being overcharged here.

As mentioned in Tips to solo visit Morocco, I took CTM and cost DH130/€13 for round trip ticket. Although the trip duration is 2-hour, the driver would take a drive break in between and eventually it took almost 3 hours for one-way. As for transportation inside the city, public transport is rarely common but it is easy to catch a taxi here.

#Skala dele Kasbah

#Bad Doukkala

It's big market with a variety of traditional and handcraft products. I would do shopping if I had enough time here.

It's near to hostel area as well

Leather goods, traditional handcraft clothes like scarf are famous here

#City Wall

Sea view and sunshine, it is the best to visit in the afternoon! Walk along the city wall, you will feel the sunshine and how people are getting busy here, some of them selling food in a booth, some of them were relaxing like tourists.

It's a jail! Isn't cool to live in a jail like this

#Essaouira Citadel

They have historical fort and working port here. Fishermen sold different kind of seafood after fishing, amazed by the super-super-long sea creatures. Unlike other seafood market, people usually buy the seafood for cooking, instead of having them immediately. The price is not listed and negotiate as much as you can.

juice booth next to the washroom haha

A lot seagulls

#Sqala du Port d'Essaouira

Entrance fee: DH 10/€1 and all historical stuff are cool as usual. We even climbed up to the top which is like mini Arc De Triomphe stairs in Paris. It's getting a bit hot if you came at 14.00 or 15.00, many tourists usually spend 1 hour here.

I would say it has the same style with Galle in Sri Lanka. What make it the best of the trip would be my roommates from hostel Chiro chan and Fuado chan.
