Christmas Eve in / St. Petersburg, Russia

Despite all the things happened in customs control, I managed to visit the city for a few hours. In fact, I was planning to get back to the vessel when I heard the announcement of ready onboard for my cruise, it's quite cool to visit nothing even you arrive there hahahha

I asked my friends not waiting for me because I though I'm not able to step out the passport control hahahha I were talking to one Indian girl in the shuttle bus and gladed to have her and her friends visiting the city with me (a Vietnam girl joined us later!)

it's so cold!

#St.Issac's Square

our first stop, where the shuttle bus drop us off. That is a museum and also cathedral, it would be nice to go up and have a whole view of St. Petersburg

#yellow building

It's probably the Russian State Museum, the biggest museum in town. This kind of yellow is quite common for Russian-style buildings. snowing is not romantic if they seldom snow, old snow melt and the floor become super slippery

good idea to hide inside haha

#palace square

It's next to the winter palace but seems like many landmarks in St. Petersburg are in maintenance and looks so ugly in picture...

#Winter palace

It looks huge and I love this kind of green. Some people sold traditional Russian hats and various souvenir in the street. There are some food booth as well, like 3€ for half of a corn WTF?!!

#St.Nicolas Cathedral

typical postcard architecture, There are so many cathedrals in Europe (not sure if Russia is Asian or European country though) but they have similar style all the time. But this cathedral will make you feel like "oh yeah I'm in Russia"

It's in maintenance again LOL

frozen river LOL

#Kazan Cathedral

Unfortunately we don't have much time to explore this city:( Although the landmarks are mainly church and cathedral, which is quite similar with other European countries, you could feel differently in term of the architecture. Since Russian people celebrate Christmas on 7 January , it gonna be the least festive atmosphere Christmas I had ever, which is super cool. From its way of celebrating Christmas and process of passport control, you could imagine how Russia tries to isolate itself (Perhaps there are many spies nearby when you visit hahah)
