Transport in /Munich, Germany

The transport in Munich is quite complicated yet very automated and convenient.

Unlike other airport, Munich international airport is quite far from the city center, which take 40 minutes S-bahn (subway) from Munich hbf. Moreover, city center day ticket do not include the journey to the airport, you have to buy the one included zone with airport.

However, it is quite convenient to use the luggage storage service in help desk of the airport, it costs 4.8€ for normal size luggage per day. It takes a few minutes walk from Terminal 1 to 2, better to preserve more time if you take international flight in Terminal 2.

#train/S-bahn

Like other city, they offer day ticket for tourists traveling with S-bahn, U-bahn and even bus within the city center area. Some tourist attractions like Benz Museum is out of the city center so it may require to buy day ticket with different zones. I would say it is even crowded than Berlin for main areas.

*Tageskarten

but I was quite surprised that there are ticketing machine inside the buses LOL No one checked my ticket throughout the day but quite a few of my friends said they DO check tickets quite often here.
